File # Unsoved Crimes February 2nd to February 8th

1. Nanaimo file # 2018-4034 Just before midnight on Friday February 2nd officers attended to a report of 30 unruly youths walking down the middle of the road of Lost Lake Road. leaving in their wake, a path of wanton destruction. When officers arrived the youths had apparently dispersed. Try as they might the officers were unable to detect any traces of the unruly mob or signs of the wanton trail of destruction.

2. Nanaimo file # 2018-3890 At approximately 3 am on Friday February 2nd officers attended to the ATM foyer at a local chartered bank in downtown Nanaimo, for a report of a male causing a disturbance. It appears the subject of the complaint, who was well known to local police was taking exception to people using the ATM as it was interfering with his REM sleep. The attending officer suggested alternative locations which might may be more conducive to him achieving the desired dream state. The male took his suggestions to heart, packed up his belongings and moved on.

3. Nanaimo file # 2018- 3898 In the morning of Saturday February 3rd officers responded to a disturbance at a home on Harewood Road. Upon arrival they were met by a male who told the officers he only called the police because he thought his lady friend had called them. At this point the male admitted to smoking some marihuana before hand and also disclosed he and his partner were having communication and trust issues. Officers agreed whole heartedly with his observation and departed the residence.

4. Nanaimo file # 2018-4222 Sunday evening February 4th officers arrested a 28-year-old male on Lambert St who appeared to have consumed, ingested or smoked way too much illegal substances. It appears the male was reportedly walking up to front doors of homes and asking the home owner if Rob, Joe, Pete or whoever leaved there. When officers located him, he proceeded to bellow out his name the best he could at the top of his lungs, so all the world could hear. To prevent the continuing bellowing he was arrested for Causing a Disturbance and Breach of Peace. Kids- Once again, Don't do Drugs because you to could end up being a random Bellower.

5. Nanaimo file #2018-4297 If you don't want to attract attention to yourself may be you shouldn't  walk down the middle of the street wearing a Santa hat carrying a very large knife for all the world to see. Well this is exactly what happened on Monday February 5th, just before 8 am when police were alerted to a male walking along 7th St, doing just that. When the 34-year male was located he told the officers his backpack had broken and so he was forced to carry his knife. The wisdom of his decision or lack there of was pointed out to him. Before the officers departed the knife was tucked safely away and he went on his Merry way. Officers forgot out the significance of the Santa hat.

6. Nanaimo file # 2018-4729 On Thursday February 8th at approximately 4 pm officers responded to the 100 block of Townsite Rd for a report of a highly intoxicated male casually walking along the road way with his pants down around his knees. The officers, highly trained in detecting signs of impairment, including the classic sign of pants around knees were unable to find anyone matching that description.
