The Nanaimo RCMP needs your creativity! Yup, and they want to give you cold, hard cash for it! School Liaison Officers and Frist Nations and Community Policing have started an anti-bullying initiative in preparation for Anti-Bullying Day on February 28. The initiative is a contest intended for elementary and secondary students. If you submit a winning poster, electronic image, infographic or short video about anti-bullying, you could win $100 for yourself and $100 for your school.
There will be 3 winning entries selected from elementary and secondary schools, for a total of 6 winners. No 1st, 2nd or 3rd places – just 6 winners in total.
You have until Wednesday, February 21 to submit. If you are submitting an electronic version, email Constable Misty Dmytar at [email protected]. Hard copies will be picked up at the schools. Winners will be announced on Anti-bullying Day, Wednesday, February 28. What’s your anti-bullying message? Let’s get creative – use hashtags, pictures, themes, poems, quotes or whatever inspires you.
