The Nanaimo RCMP is investigating a break and enter which occurred at 3:22 am on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at Omniart Creative, located at #209-335 Wesley St. The incident involved two male suspects who stole a variety of musical instruments, all of which was recovered by investigators lying on the ground just outside the business.
Officers responded to a break in alarm at the business and found the front door kicked open and the interior in a state of disarray. One suspect male was located a short distance from the business. At the time of the offence there were insufficient grounds to arrest him however, he was positively identified and may face charges at a later time.
Video surveillance showed a second male inside the business who is described as white, approximately 5 ft. 8, with a slim build and a sharp pointy nose. He was seen wearing a black toque and what appears to be a camouflage jacket. The only item missing is an I-pad Pro.
