Gain a different perspective on Nanaimo’s history at the Nanaimo Museum!  Participate in a tour with one of our knowledgeable guides.  Many tours are offered to the public seasonally.  Private group tours are also available upon request. 

Members of the public can book private tours of the museum gallery, heritage buildings or participate in walking tours.

Available Year Round:

Get the inside perspective on our exhibits with a guided Gallery tour. The tour takes 45 minutes.  The cost is $6.50/person.  Minimum group size is 10 people and the maximum is 25 people.

Available Seasonally:

Bastion Tour

See the inside of Nanaimo’s most recognizable landmark! The tour takes 30 minutes. The cost is $10/person. Minimum group size is 10 people and the maximum is 20 people.

Cottage & Locomotive Tour
The 1890s miner’s cottage and steam locomotive are some of Nanaimo’s hidden gems. The tour takes 45 minutes (includes walking time to and from the cottage, cottage and locomotive). The cost is $10/person.  Minimum group size is 10 people and the maximum is 15 people.
