A B.C. RCMP officer has been charged with sexual assault and uttering threats on Vancouver Island.

According to B.C. court records, Jason Ellias Sammoun is charged with two counts of sexual assault in Nanaimo and one count of uttering threats in Victoria.

All three incidents are alleged to have occurred on April 1, 2024. 

According to court records, the charges were were laid on Dec. 30 and Sammoun is due to appear in court in Nanaimo on Jan. 30.
